(Duncan's P.O.V.)
It was like a dark, wet cavern. Well, I think it was...maybe...I don't really know. Where am I? It's pretty much pitch-black.
I sighed, then started to walk around. SPLURSH! I heard the sound of someone running through a puddle in the distance. "Who's there!?" I nervously shouted.
Faint breathing was the only response I got, until I heard soft laughter. Before I could contemplate what was going around, I felt something wrap around my neck. It was like a boa constrictor, wrapping around until I couldn't breathe.
"Thought you could get away that easy, Dunkie?" My eyes grew wide. I knew what it was. A C.I.T. with a grudge.
"C-c-cour...?" was all I could mutter, because I really needed my remaining oxygen.
"Heh." The she-demon started. "Well, I got you know."
I felt her tighten her grip, and I gasped, before the last drop of oxygen was pulled from my almost-lifeless body...
---
I sat up, breathing heavy. My hands felt around my face. Alive. I was still alive and well. It was just another nightmare, I thought.
My eyes traveled over to the mahogany side-table, sitting crookedly next to the doorway. The car keys were put back in their normal spot. Gwen was home.
I was about to ask for her, but my pounding headache stopped me in my tracks. Instead, I sulked, ever so slowly, towards the kitchen, and raided the cabinets for the Excedrin. Once it was found, I took some, and then proceeded to make myself some coffee. That dream really tired me out, and I could really use something to wake me from the horrible experience.
After I poured the hot, dark liquid into my favorite mug-a black coffee mug with Korn's logo written in red on the side- I heard Gwen walk out into the living room.
"Duncan?" she called. "You awake?"
I smiled. "Right here sunshine." I replied from my place next to the counter. She turned from her previous spot and stalked into the tiny room with me.
I was about to hug her, when I noticed water dripping down from her hair. "You're soaked." I stated.
She rolled her eyes and hugged me anyway. "And now you are too." she chuckled. "It was pouring rain when I left for the pharmacy."
"Ah..." I replied, still trying to shake off that dream and my horrid headache, which the Excedrin was doing nothing for. "Hey, what day is tomorrow?"
"Monday." she replied, while getting out her mug-a white mug with the words "Vampires" (in black) and "suck" (in blood red)
"Crap." I muttered softly. "I gotta go to work tomorrow."
As she poured the remainder of the coffee into her mug, she questioned, "I thought you loved working at Hot Topic? You get all those awesome discounts and..."
"Yeah," I started, cutting her off, "but we're getting a HUGE-ASS shipment of 'Justin Bieber' crap today, and for the next week we're gonna have NOTHING but the little brat's fans storming through the place. I mean, why sell her crap at Hot Topic!?" I continued to rant about my job, until Gwen silenced me with a quick peck on the cheek with her dark blue lips.
"It'll be okay." she said calmly. I looked down into her big, dark green eyes. The way they sparkled at you could just make you melt into a thousand pieces.
"Yeah, I guess..." she stopped me with another kiss, and said she had to go out again.
"Didn't you just get back?" I questioned, with an unmistakable confused look resting upon my face.
she giggled, then whispered, "Mr. Douglass, you know, our doctor? Yeah, he called me earlier requesting that I have an immediate check-up. Nothing to worry about, it's probably because I haven't went to the doctor's in like, forever."
After she finished, I opened my mouth to speak again, but she was already out the door. She was acting a little... suspicious...nah. What could she possibly hide from me?

Duncan and Gwen...part 3
(Gwen's P.O.V. It's the same day and time as the last part)
My smile quickly escaped my face as Duncan left for the kitchen. Why was he talking about Courtney in his sleep? He was mumbling, and i was half awake, but i knew i kept hearing him say her name. Could it be possible that he and her are...No! It can't be! Duncan would never cheat on me, especially with little miss CIT. Would he? I had to find out.
"Hey Duncan?" I called. No answer. "Duncan." I called again.
"One minute!" he shouted with his mouth full. After he finished eating he came back into our room. He gave me a peck on the cheek and whispered "Bye Gwen."

I was speechless. Duncan had knelt down in front of me and asked me to marry him. The ring was so beautiful, i couldn't keep my eyes off it. I wanted to reply, but i couldn't even breathe. This is definitely the last thing i suspected that would come out of this. I noticed that everyone around us was looking at me, waiting for me to speak. My eyes filled with water and a smile emerged from my face.
"Yes, yes i will!" I hugged him, pulling him as close as possible. He wrapped his arms around me and held on to me as tight as he could. We let go of each other, and everyone around us gave their attention back to the band. Dunca

Duncan and Gwen...part 6
(Duncan's P.O.V.)
The night felt really long, and I couldn't sleep very well, probably because of excitement. I mean, I'm engaged now! It feels weird, not what I expected. I always thought that it would be like a mixture of lust and entrapment, just like my old man would say to me. Now I know it must have been different for him, because I feel love...something I don't think that I've ever felt.
I awoke to the sound of a keyboard typing, so I knew Gwen was probably chatting online with Bridgette. Gwen was saying what she wrote out loud and laughing at her friend's comments. We are both lucky to have good friends, mine are still Geoff and DJ.
